1st Journey in Classic Film Tournament
This is a quick post to keep everyone updated on the poll. The readers voted and by a score of 3 votes, the first tournament you guys want is around actors or actresses. Since many of the better blogs (they’re all awesome) have done their various tournaments around actresses this year I think actors would give us an edge but I’m all for doing another actress tourney. So the next poll going up is around whether you’d prefer an actor tourney or an actress tourney. If you have specific actors/actresses in mind please comment below. Also, I’m open to suggestions on how you want this to run, whether you want a tourney spanning all the decades and crowning one winner of all time, or just focusing on one group of actors/actresses in one decade. I’m new at this so I’ll need all the help I can get. The poll around this will run till next Monday, the 16th. I’m hoping to get this tourney set up in time for mid-May when I’ll be done with school and able to devote my utmost attention to it. So please vote, please pass this along to any other film blogs you read and let’s get some movement going. Thanks again!

Given your impressive taste and knowledge of films, I’d like to see you go decade by decade, perhaps in between your reviews.
That seems to be the rising consensus! I’m thinking 1930s-1990s might be the best way to do this as the blog spans decades as well.
