An Intro To Our Leading Man Tournament
The leading man tournament starts tomorrow with the five leading men of the 1930s. To make your voice heard just vote in the poll on the sidebar at the start of every week (Sunday) and share the poll with as many people as possible. By the end of the summer a leading man will be proclaimed! To kickstart Monty over at All Good Things (a site I frequent daily and I recommend you do too) graciously offered to craft an intro for me (I’ve thanked him profusely ever since). In doing so he’ll be commenting on several of the men that will be competing in our tourney. I won’t reveal the full lists until the week they’ll be competing but Monty gives you a taste of which team you might find yourself on. Come back tomorrow to start voting (and our contest winner will be announced today around mid-afternoon).
Hi everyone, my name is Monty of All Good Things. I asked Kristen if I could write an intro post for her upcoming tournament and she said yes. So here I am. Kristen says she started following my blog recently due to my favorite classic movie actress tourney and decided to do one herself. And I think her idea of including modern-day actors is pure genius. Genius I tell ya! Forty actors spanning eight decades. Should be fun.

My favorite actor Cary Grant headlines the 40’s era and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t pulling for him to win the whole thing. So let’s go Cary.

Tomorrow! Finally!
I know, the excitement has definitely been building!
Gary Cooper for me!!
Right there with Dawn! While I really really really like Clark Gable, Gary Cooper is one of my beloveds.
This will be fun, but I can only play along for a few of the decades. I don’t really watch 90’s or 2000’s films, so I don’t know the actors.
Well I tried to pick actors that defined the decade for the 90s and 2000s so hopefully if you haven’t seen their films you’ll still know who they are for sure.
Cary Grant all the way!
Yay, one for team Cary Grant! We’ll see him next week.
