The Mid-Day Post: Television, Disney, Where I’ll Be This Week
I really need to come up with a logo for the general mid-day posts. I’ve recently become an expert at crafting these so best get to work. Anyway, hopefully you’re reading this after you’ve read today’s book review which leads me perfectly into my first point…television! I’ve recently gotten into Alfred Hitchcock Presents courtesy of Netflix Watch Instantly and I’m hoping to get through the five seasons in a somewhat rapid manner. On my recent Kristen’s Netflix Top 10 someone asked about me doing reviews where I had a few television series’. The question becomes, do you want to see the occasional television review? These would only be reviews of shows that are in no longer on, and would be complete season reviews. Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Tales From the Crypt are immediately coming to mind. What are your thoughts? After the jump there’s even funner stuff!
Next bit o’ news. I ominously posted something about Disney on the blog Facebook page today (are you a friend by the way?). I’ve recently pulled out a bunch of my Disney DVD‘s and have decided to do the undertaking of watching all 51 theatrical animated Disney films. Here is the beautiful banner that will accompany these reviews!

This should kick off fairly quick, I’d like to get a fair amount under my belt before the summer ends! With that, I’m hoping to start a blogathon come the fall…there’s a few ideas rattling around that I could do, if anyone’s interested in co-organizing/co-sponsoring something please contact me.
The last bit of news…where else you can read me this week! Starting Saturday you can find me over at The Movie Brothers who graciously allowed me to rate a two page rant on the atrocious E.T. rip-off Mac and Me. A film I deem the biggest piece of garbage to ever be filmed. It’s was cathartic, I recommend it. Sunday I’ll also be re-posting my Elizabeth review and writing up a birthday piece on Cate Blanchett as part of the LAMB Acting School! Should be a fun week, look forward to hearing some comments from my faithful readers!

I love the television review idea. And the Disneys. I want to join you on the Disney thing! How about you let us know what you’re going to review beforehand, and we watch it, too? 🙂
I will definitely keep people posted. I’m going to go in chronological order so obviously the first will be Snow White and the second Pinocchio. I’ll be sure to include a “What’s Next” after each review to give people time to watch. Thanks for the suggestion!
TV reviews could be a lot of fun, especially if you write about Hitchcock Presents. I have been curious about that show, but I have heard it’s pretty hit-and-miss. It would be cool to know just which episodes are must sees.
I’ll definitely be doing season reviews for Hitchcock…right now I’m only in season 1 and I do agree, it’s rather hit or miss but really that seems to be par for the course on all anthology shows like this.
