Been Awhile Since Our Last Update Post

Remember when I did update posts all the time to fill space? This has certainly been a productive summer. Just a few quick blurbs I didn’t want to include at the end of today’s review or in our poll update. It’s so short I won’t even put a cut.
First, whatever’s been happening with the posts is phenomenal! The blog has consistently cracked 100 hits over the last five days. Saturday broke the record for most views this blog has ever had with 925 views and yesterday’s post had over 400! I’m not sure if StumbleUpon just likes me or what but some of these posts are taking off like wildfire!
With that said…the contest entries are pitiful. So far one person has entered the contest and there’s 2 prizes to give away! If you didn’t read the posts or click the link on the handy sidebar here’s the info sans pretty pictures:
I’m giving away a copy of two very different books to two lucky winners. All you have to do to be entered is email me at journeysinclassicfilm (at) gmail.com with subject Journeys in Classic Film Contest, the title of your favorite film (ANY film, doesn’t matter), what book you’d like to win, and your name. The winner will get the book of their choice (if both winners want the same book I will be going in order of email received so if you want your choice enter early). What do the winners get?
One winner will get a copy of Darwin Porter‘s book Marilyn at Rainbow’s End which I recently reviewed and the other will get a copy of Roger Ebert‘s latest book A Horrible Experience of Unbearable Length: More Movies That Suck. The contest closes June 29th! ***Contest open only to residents of the US.
The last bit o’ news is how to contact me. I finally broke down and got an official email address for this blog (no more using my work email haha). If you want to get in touch with me to recommend movies, send me stuff, and/or enter that damn contest email me at journeysinclassicfilm@gmail.com! I have changed the email address above but you can still email me at the link in the original post.
That’s all the news that’s fit to print! Talk to you all later!
