Leading Lady Week 5 Update
The voting has slowed down significantly this decade, what gives people (I say that with love)? Hopefully we can get respectable numbers, on par with the other decades, between now and Monday’s reveal. Let’s look at where our ladies have landed. The winner is declared Monday!
In the lead with eight votes is Diane Keaton
I figured Diane would be a heavy-hitter, but none of the other nominees are seeming to be competition. There’s five votes that separate first from second, and that’s a lengthy margin. If voting stalls Keaton could take this with little effort.
In second place with three votes is Faye Dunaway
I’m happy to see Faye in second place, but it’s a hollow victory considering how few votes she’s received. Not to mention, she could easily be usurped by other two contenders below her.
Tied with one vote is Jodie Foster and Jane Fonda
Am I the only one that noticed that our tied contenders both have the same initials? Hope people aren’t getting confused and voting for the wrong JF. I’d love to see one of these two split off and present more of a presence in the tournament.
And finally, with zero votes, is Carrie Fisher
Wow, where are all the Star Wars fans? Not one vote for Princess Leia? That’s shocking.
Keep on voting! The winner is revealed Monday!

Hands down Faye Dunaway was the most provocatively sensual of the bunch. Although Fonda was a cosmic cutie in Barbarella and a real vamp in Spirits of The Dead
I adore Dunaway and hopes she wins, although it’s looking less likely.
