Leading Lady Tournament: Finals
Out of forty actresses we’re finally down to two. One represents the Golden Age of Hollywood, while the other represents the new breed of living legends, and only one will get the title of Leading Lady 2013. As always, voting runs from Monday to Monday, and I hope to remember to update on Thursday as I seemingly forgot to do so last week. Our two finalists have trounced their competition, but which one will be the victor?
GINGER ROGERS
Ginger Rogers represents the Golden Age, and the 1930s specifically. I had believed that there was some voter tampering during part one of the semi-finals because Ginger amassed forty votes during the voting period (the highest in tournament history!). Turns out, it wasn’t fraud but the fantastic group of Ginger fans at Gingerology who came out in droves to support their girl. Will they be back to proclaim Ms. Rogers the winner. She certainly has the numbers to back it up considering how many votes she’s amassed during the length of the tournament.

DIANE KEATON
Diane Keaton has had a slower sequence of wins, but she’s entered the final round, so that’s saying something! I had high expectations for her the minute she sailed through the 1970s round. Seeing the piddly turnout in the semi-finals, though, I worry about her chances against Ginger.

Good luck to our ladies!
