Classic Movie Actress Tournament: Part 1

LeadingLadyTourney

March madness is upon us, but while you’re betting on basketball teams us classic film fans are betting on classic film actresses.  It’s been great to participate in Monty of All Good Things’ Classic Movie Actress Tournament, and despite covering the 1930s last year I was able to helm the 1940s for this year.  (The phenomenal Desire of RozRussell is overseeing the ’30s this year and John of Mythical Monkey is looking at the 1960s).  After the cut, you’ll see the first two groups battling to move on to the next round.  Part one of the tournament runs from today till Wednesday, and part two runs Thursday to Sunday.  Please be sure to visit the other blogs – links above – to vote in their respective eras.  Good luck to all our challengers and may the odds be ever in their favor.  (Who wouldn’t kill for a classic movie actress Hunger Games?).

  1. Ahh! I kept thinking my choice would be clear upon seeing the first half of the pairing, then realizing two of my favorites were up against each other when I saw the second name! Very interested to see how this turns out.
