The Lake Update for April 2014

LakeUpdate

Another month and another update on how your favorite (or at least top five) classic film blog is doing.  It’s a pretty quite month if you take into account I’ll be at the TCM Classic Film Festival NEXT WEEK!  To say I’m excited is a vast understatement and I’m going to do my utmost to make you feel as if you’re at the festival.  The fun kicks off next Monday as I list the top events I hope to hit and then coverage will run Thursday till….I run out of stuff to talk about, I guess.  This is a huge leap for the blog and it’s been my dream to cover the fest for this site; I never imagined it would come to fruition.  Outside of that we’re wrapping up the Classic Movie Actress Tournament where either Bette Davis and Olivia De Havilland will go on to represent the 1940s at All Good Things so if you haven’t voted the poll is to your right.  With school ramping up books reviews are scare but a few are in the pipeline and a healthy dose of films are set for review as well as some additional Kristen Recasts posts.  I also have a fantastic Veronica Lake interview to transcribe and post in the coming weeks (after the TCMFF madness dies down) so look for that.  As always, anything you want me to discuss-movie, recast, etc-feel free to drop me an email or a Tweet or a Facebook message.  If you don’t have the blog in your bookmarks get on it because TCMFF is taking over Journeys in Classic Film.

Till next month!
