VL’s Top Posts of the Week
You can tell Halloween is upon us due to the increase in horror-related reviews you fine readers checked out this week. You also were getting a jump on Christmas, as well as resurrecting some old favorites. Let’s see what reviews and articles got some love over the last week.
You readers wasted no time seeking out the cream of the Halloween crop. I’ll probably catch The Exorcist at some point over the month, but it still unnerves me.
9. 25 Days of Christmas: Little Women (1949)
Janet Leigh is the star of the month over at TCM and she boasts the distinction (one of many) of starring in my favorite version of Little Women.
8. Saturday Night Fever (1977)
Still the most controversial review I’ve ever written (and I thought my distaste for Mrs. Miniver or Gone With the Wind would inspire more hatred).
7. Old Hollywood Book Reviews: Veronica – The Autobiography of Veronica Lake
6. News From the Lake for October 1st, 2014
5. The Lake Update for October 2014
If you want to know what Halloween movies are on tap for 2014 be sure to check out this month’s Lake Update.
Looks like quite a few of you needed seconds at the “Ugly Bug Ball.”
Veronica got a lot of love this week!
I believe this was on TCM recently. Honestly, have little memory of this movie outside of disliking it.
1. The TCM Top Ten for October 2014
Check out what TCM is airing – lots of Halloween goodies – this month.
