If You Haven’t Noticed….

If you haven’t noticed already Journeys in Classic Film has been intermittent in its postings of late (okay, it’s been outright dead around here). My day job has sapped a ton of time away from me and, even before that, my ability to focus on the site has severely diminished. In all honesty, this announcement was originally to tell you I was closing up shop, but that’s not so.

If you haven’t already noticed, instead of putting Journeys in Classic Film in mothballs we’ve decided to transform it into something new. It’s officially going to be the new official website for my classic film podcast, Ticklish Business. You’ll not only see our regular show notes and be able to listen to the podcast here — which we’ve already been doing for awhile — we’ll also be utilizing this space to give you more info on stuff that Ticklish Business would love to cover but can’t.

Now, you might be saying, “Kristen, that sounds like work and did you start this post saying you have too much?” Yep, that’s true. But, thankfully, my fantastic co-host Samantha Ellis and a few other classic film writer friends will be helping me shoulder the load. In the coming weeks and months you’ll see their writing on this site and, hey, you just might see me posting too! That is to say I’m hopeful that Journeys in Classic Film will get some life back into her! I love this site, no matter what, and I’m excited to enter 2021 with new plans. Lord knows in these crazy times the love of classic cinema is what’s sustaining all of us.

Stay tuned!
