CONTEST: Win a Copy of Sensation Seekers (1923) /A Chapter in Her Life (1927)
In a movie industry which still struggles with representation, it is sometimes easy to forget that really is Lois Weber’s world and we’re all just living in it. With known writing and directing credits as early as 1911, Lois Weber is one of the true creative pioneers of cinema.
We are lucky to have received a Blu-ray copy of Kino Lorber’s brand new restoration of two films by Weber: Sensation Seekers and A Chapter in Her Life and in the interest of spreading the good word, it can be yours! See the details below.

I don’t have a Twitter account, but want to participate. I love that you are honoring Lois Weber. I just finished reading a biography of Frances Marion and learned that Lois Weber really helped her early in her career. I think my favorite of Weber’s films was Where Are My Children? I remember watching it the first time and it really took my breath away and stuck with me for a long time.
