Where the Boys Are holds a spot near and dear to my heart. My love for the teen film goes way back to my college days when it served as the inspiration, and primary source material for my Master’s thesis.

While contemporary history only remembers the sheer number of beach films which hit theaters during the early 1960s, Where the Boys Are holds a place as one of the most important. This interesting story is important and should be discussed on its own right.
